Arrival and Car Parking Facilities

Reception area has a large tarmac area to front

Accessible parking bays are available in close proximity to reception.

All facilities are clearly signposted with signs at each junction point. Signs are cream background with large dark brown writing

Reception

Access to reception is directly from the main entrance

There is a small slope to access reception

The double doors can both open to provide a wide opening to reception

There is ample room for a large wheelchair to manoeuvre and turn

Staff come from behind reception to greet and those in wheelchairs

Accessible parking bays are outside reception for use whilst in reception

Public Areas – General (Internal)

The roads on the park are a mixture of tarmac and gravel. The gravel roads are raked on a regular basis to maintain smooth surfaces

The touring pitches are in one main area, with closely mown grass. 82 of the pitches have gravel hardstandings. Cars can be parked at the side of each pitch.

Pitches are allocated on booking and staff are happy to advise on the location and suitability for your requirements. Requests can be made for pitches close to facilities – please do so at time of booking

Caravans can be sited on to the pitch by our staff using our own tractors for a small fee paid at time of booking

Public Areas – Facilities

The toilet block is situated in the centre of the Park at the top end

The toilet block provides level entry shower, toilet and basin with push taps A parking bay is available outside the toilet block

The toilet block has level entry unisex shower toilet and washbasin for use by disabled guests. There are coloured grab rails and a wheelchair available for use in the shower and a seat by the washbasin. The tap is a pivot turn on/off and the toilet flush is push button

Many pitches have water tap and waste water connection. There are numerous waste water and water taps accessible on those pitches that do not have such facilities and chemical disposal points are also easily accessible.

There are numerous dustbin areas, recycling points and fire points around the Park which are no more than 50 metres from any pitch

Restaurant, Lounge area and Take-Away

Accessible via ramped access and two doors

Drinks provided via waitress service

Tables and chairs can moved on request

The patio area at the back of the restaurant is level, has no steps and can be accessed from parking area at the front of the main shower block or by driving round to it.

Tropical Conservatory

Accessible via ramp from restaurant area or from the parking area in front of main shower block or by driving directly round to it; large sliding doors open to the back area onto the patio

Chairs and tables can be moved on request

Waitress service available for meals and drinks

Laundry

Ramped access through door 830mm wide, with handrail

Level access throughout

All machines are front loading, operated by coin/token boxes situated above or on the machines

Hand wash sink is standard height

Iron and on switch are accessible from seated or standing position and ironing board is adjustable

Playroom

Under cover play area is large and accessible

Tarmaced with seating (benches) provided

Snooker room

Accessed via two steps with handrail: level carpeted area inside. Outside light triggered by movement when dark

Dishwashing room

Level access and spacious interior with room for a large wheelchair to manoeuvre

Dog Walking Fields

Gravel access to certain areas, closely mown grass on all areas including conservation fields.  Field is on a slope

Additional Information

Mobile telephone coverage is generally good in this area. A public telephone is available with level access suitable for wheelchair users at reception

There is a local bus service within 100 metres of the entrance to the Park and local taxis service the Park.

Shower facilities are lit all night and the remainder of the park has low level lighting.
